Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word file format using the IJMTL Template.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts should conform to the style guidelines specified in Chapters 1-3 of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, with minor modifications for UK usage as illustrated in the journal. Manuscripts should be prepared using the instructions contained in the Instructions for Formatting an Article Document

The review process will be double blind. Authors should submit a blind version of the manuscript using the IJMTL Template

All direct and indirect references to the author(s) should be scrupulously eliminated. All cited works by one or more of the authors should be referred to as Author followed by the date of publication, and these works omitted from the reference list but included on a separate sheet. Authors' names, affiliations and addresses should be included in a covering letter or message. Authors should also certify in their covering email that the manuscript has not been submitted for review by any other journal. Only papers that differ substantially from previously published work should be submitted. Manuscripts should be submitted in the IJMTL Open Journal System (OJS). Authors and Reviewers can register themselves in the IJMTL OJS to submit or review manuscripts.
